We have more exciting news for our supporters. This coming Saturday, January 28th, Music in Action presents ‘Night at the Spanish Oscars’ – an entertaining night of classic music from your favourite Spanish movies and musical numbers. The concert supports the Oscar Maclean Foundation.
A memorable night for film fans and classical music lovers, which features music from the Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez, performed by Carlos Bonell (heard in Brassed Off and many other films) to the classic score to the Good the Bad and the Ugly starring Clint Eastwood.
This concert is packed full of favourite tunes which will bring down the house. The concert is conducted by a BBC conductor and stars the Jersey Chamber Orchestra. Other music includes an upbeat Habanera by Chabrier and a medley of traditional Spanish songs from ‘Oye’ to ‘La Bamba’, sung by the chamber choir of St. Michael’s Preparatory School.
